How to clean your car wrap

You have invested in a stunning car wrap, now its time to care for it so it lasts as long as possible and represents your business well.

Cleaning a car wrap requires special care to prevent damage to the wrap material.

Here are some steps you can follow to clean your car wrap:

1. Use a standard mild car wash to clean the wrap, we recommend Bowden’s Own Nanolicious Wash, which can be purchased at most automotive suppliers. Avoid using any type of abrasive cleaner, solvent or alcohol-based cleaning products, as these can damage the wrap.

2. Rinse the car wrap: Rinse the car wrap thoroughly with water to remove loose dirt and debris. Be sure to rinse the entire car, including hard-to-reach areas such as the underside of mirrors and around door handles.

3. Clean the wrap: Using a soft cloth, gently wash the wrap with the car wash solution. Avoid using a scrub brush or any other type of abrasive cleaning tool, as this could scratch the wrap.

4. Rinse the soap off: Thoroughly rinse the soap off the wrap with water. Make sure to remove all soap suds to prevent any water spots.

5. Dry the wrap: Use a soft cloth to gently dry the wrap. Do not let water air dry on the wrap, as this can cause water spots.

6. Protect the wrap: Consider applying a UV protectant to the wrap to protect it from sun damage and to keep it looking like new, we recommend Bowden’s Own Boss Gloss.

By following these steps, you can clean your car wrap and keep it looking great.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING AUTOMATIC CAR WASH MACHINES.

Note: Keeping your vehicle out of direct sunlight as much as possible will extend the life of the wrap.

At Tradie Wraps we recommend removal of graphics before the 5 year mark.

This will reduce the possibility of paint damage and also give the opportunity to freshen your brand if you plan to keep the vehicle long term.
